The brand opend a ritzy retail location in Miami's Design District and launched capsule with it. CEO Kristina Blahnik talks why Manolo Blahnik chose to expand in the 305.

Manolo Blahnik revealed a new ritzy store in <a href="https://lofficielusa.org/tags/miami">Miami</a>'s Design District late February and, alongside the new retail location, the luxury label dropped a limited-edition capsule of footwear, perfect for sitting poolside.
The boutique's interior channels an Art Deco feeling, brought to life by Nick Leith-Smith Architecture + Design. The British architect has been working with Manolo Blahnik since 2003, and the new Miami store marks their latest collaborative iteration. Geometric details, custom rugs, floating shelves, and monochromatic palettes give the story a cozy feeling, which was exactly the goal, per CEO Kristina Blahnik. She wanted shoppers to feel as if they are "stepping into our living room."
"It's a place to unwind, relax, and truly feel at home. The boutique isn&rsquo;t just about shopping; it's about creating an experience where clients can connect, share moments, and feel comfortable in a relaxed environment," the CEO (who's the niece of the eponymous founder) continued. "I had first visited Miami back in 2014 and knew immediately upon arrival that I wanted our brand to expand and have a location there. It&rsquo;s always been an important part of our strategy and business plan to ensure that Manolo Blahnik&rsquo;s stores are in key locations across America."

The Design District location marks Manolo Blahnik's third retail location in the US. It's home to the limited-edition, spring-ready <a href="https://lofficielusa.org/tags/shoes">shoe</a> drop that spans the label's kitten <a href="https://lofficielusa.org/tags/heels">heel</a> Maysales and its strappy Chaos sandals, for example. "We wanted to create a collection that really captures the essence of Miami. [The city's] architecture, art, and lifestyle served as major inspirations, and we designed the shoes with the intention of celebrating this beautiful city," Blahnik tells L'OFFICIEL over email.
Miami's fashion and <a href="https://lofficielusa.org/tags/art">art</a> scene has been increasingly bustling post-pandemic with its series of events that draw tastemakers to town, be it <a href="https://lofficielusa.org/tags/art-basel">Art Basel</a> or growing fashion retail offerings. This is something Blahnik says she wants the new store to keep building this momentum.
Ahead, "for the fashion scene, we want to continue to encourage community and connection, offering an inviting atmosphere that adds warmth and personality to the city's notable vibrant fashion landscape," she says.
